'busy, busy, busy' at NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL
The 'busy, busy, busy' collaboration of Artvark SQ and New Niks is invited to play at one of the biggest jazz festivals worldwide: the NORTH SEA JAZZ FESTIVAL in Rotterdam (NL). The concert is planned Sunday the 11th of July at 4.30 pm in the MIssouri hall, Ahoy. Visit the NSJF site for the rest of the program: www.northseajazz.com
Artvark live at radio 'Neve' (Belgium)
Artvark is invited to perform in the Flemmish jazz-radio show 'NEVE' by Jef Neve and Lies Steppe (Radio Klara). The 29th of Jan there will be an extended interview and live concert in Studio Toots in Brussels, from 8.30 pm till 10.30 pm.
CD release concert 'Truffles'
The 10th of Jan '10 Artvark will release the long-awaited CD 'TRUFFLES', the 2nd after 'Artvark, the Jazz Saxophone Quartet' from '05. This concert, part of the series Jazz & Poetry in 'De Unie' in Rotterdam, ASQ will collaborate with the notorious Dutch writer and poet KEES VAN KOOTEN!
'bbb' in Vrije Geluiden
After the premiere in the BIMHUIS (Amsterdam, NL) and the CD release in DE DOELEN (Rotterdam, NL) the project 'busy, busy, busy' of Artvark SQ and New Niks is to be seen on TV the 22nd of Nov '09 in VPRO's Vrije Geluiden: NED 1, 10.30 am
Artvark with Peter Erskine!
The 6th of March '09 Artvark had a wonderful project, invited by the classical percussion group Anumadutchi. At the opening of the 'Haagse Muziekdriedaagse' 4 Seasons in One Day by Martin Fondse was played. Artvark was teamed up to PETER ERSKINE (USA - Weather Report / Steps Ahead) and DOUDOU n'DIAYE ROSE (Senegal - Miles Davis / Rolling Stones). You can see the result on this websites page 'watch'.
